Hi everyone in this review we will be taking a look at the Refog Keylogger and Personal Monitor software from Refog.com. I will be taking a look at its features, ease of installation, interface and the pros and cons of the Refog. As well since there are two different versions Refog Keylogger and Refog Monitor for purchase we will be taking a closer look to see if it is worth the cost to upgrade to Refog Monitor.
At first look at the features and the website it is clear that Refog Keylogger is definitely gear for parents monitoring their children and family. It has some features that are very uniquely gear towards this that we will discuss later on in this post. The internet has become a very scary place for children these days there are many people who predators that use the online community to meet unsuspecting children. You never what websites they are visiting or worse who they meeting. Refog Keylogger Installation
The installation process went fairly quick and was similar to many of their other competitors. The whole process took less than a minute and you are shown a screen where you have a choice to run the program in stealth mode and are given choice using your own secret keyboard activation or using theirs to bring the application out of stealth mode. If you are going to use your keyboard activation I suggest you write it down somewhere as I can see it being a problem if you forget it.
Another great feature is on the installation you can set Refog to only monitor for specific users on your computer so if you can set it to monitor you kids or spouse and disable the monitoring when you are using the computer!

Refog Monitor versus Refog Keylogger
The features I have listed in blue are only available in Keylogger Monitor. Both versions of Refog have the 4 main features that will be sufficient enough monitor your children’s computer activity. The benefit of upgrading to Refog Monitor is the added ability to remotely monitor your children’s activity. These features are more gear towards parents who want to monitor their kids when they are at work. With Refog Monitor you have the ability to view chat logs of both incoming and outgoing messages, real time logging and the reporting logs can be set to automatically be sent to your email. Another real cool feature is alarm keywords, with this feature you can preset any amount of keywords into Refog Monitor and if the user types in the keyword you will be automatically notified via email. Otherwise if you do decide not to upgrade you can still use your secret keyboard command to bring Refog out of stealth mode and view the logs locally.
Refog Keylogger Interface
The interface is very clean and simple and resembles most application you would use. On the top menu you can access your reports and start and stop Refog. On the left hand side will be a breakdown of the users and their activity logs. The options only available to Refog Monitor will still be available to Refog Keylogger users but will be restricted. If you do want to view those logs you will be given the option to click on the click to upgrade and you will have to pay the difference in price.
Refog Keylogger Summary
When I first started reviewing Refog I though wow this is so unfair that you have to pay extra money to have all the extra features. A deeper look into the program it is not actually not as bad as it seems. The normal Refog Keylogger only cost $39.99 which will put it in the category of one of the lowest price in the market for computer monitoring software. You still receive the reporting and will have the same interface as the upgraded version. The only thing you will be missing will be the remote monitoring feature. Both version run on the same platform and are very stable, accurate and stealthy.
My suggestion is if you feel as though you want the comfort of having a remote feature, chat monitoring and instant keyword monitor then go for the Refog Monitoring for $69.99. If you are not then get the basic version of Refog as a trial. You can always decide to upgrade in the future if you feel the need.
